First: Definition
Scholarships are study seats granted to male and female students at Al Jazeera University – Ibb Governorate, after passing competitive placement examinations approved by the university, in accordance with the applicable admission requirements.
Second: Objectives of Scholarships

Attract academically outstanding students to promote diversity and enrich scientific research.

Strengthen the university’s role in serving society and embody its social responsibility, in appreciation of the exceptional circumstances the country is going through.

Promote a spirit of competition among students and encourage academic achievement.
Third: Types of Scholarships

Internal scholarships offered by the university to be competed for through the Ministry of Higher Education.

Internal scholarships competed for within the university.
Fourth: Conditions for Admission to Scholarship Students
The student must meet the university admission requirements, which are as follows:

The student must have obtained the required high school average according to the percentages specified by the Ministry, as shown in the table below:

The student must not be enrolled in another university.

No more than five years must have passed since obtaining the high school certificate or its equivalent.

The student must not have been convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude, unless legally rehabilitated.

The student must pass the university’s placement examinations.
Fifth: Admission Procedure for Internal Scholarships

The applicant applies for the scholarship through the university’s official website by scanning and uploading the required documents, or submits them to the General Registrar with the necessary originals (high school certificate copy or original for verification, national ID or passport).

The student fills out the internal scholarship application form and signs a declaration confirming the accuracy of the submitted data, either electronically or in person at the General Registrar.

A fee of 5,000 Yemeni rials is paid as an application fee for the placement test. If the student wishes to apply for more than one specialization, 50% of the fee is paid for each additional specialization.

Selection is conducted according to the following criteria:

25% based on high school average.

75% based on the placement test result.

The schedule for placement tests is published on the university website and via SMS messages.
-
Correction is carried out by a specialized committee using coded exam numbers, and results are announced on the university website.

Admission and registration procedures are completed for successful applicants or those ranked first in the placement tests.
