Establishment of the University
Al Jazeera University is the first private university established by Ministerial Decree No. (238) issued by the Yemeni Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Its main headquarters is located in Ibb Governorate. The university continuously strives to offer academic programs and specializations aligned with labor market needs, as well as to provide integrated services aimed at improving the quality of educational outcomes, represented by its graduates, so they are fully qualified academically, technically, and professionally.
The administration of Al Jazeera University has set a strategic goal derived from its mission, which focuses on preparing qualified male and female graduates capable of meeting labor market demands across various fields and specializations offered by the university. This provides Al Jazeera University graduates with a competitive advantage and enhances their opportunities to secure available jobs.
Since its establishment, the university has been committed to attracting a distinguished group of faculty members who possess strong university teaching skills and high academic qualifications aligned with the administration’s aspirations to achieve its vision. The university’s role is not limited to academics alone; it also extends to serving the community.
In terms of future planning, the university administration is keen on continuously developing strategic plans that ensure maintaining its established approach—advancing the educational process to an outstanding level. This enables the university to meet the requirements of successful higher education at the highest standards, something that graduates and all members of the university—academics, technicians, and administrators—can take pride in.
